Asheville Chamber Music Series, Season 70, 2022-2023.

Dear Friends,  It’s spring and music is in the air!

Join us for the world premier of “Trialogue,” a brand-new piece commissioned for and dedicated to Trio Verado, our featured ensemble on Friday, April 14th at 8:00 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville. It was created by contemporary Brazilian composer Sergio Assad.

According to Jaime Amador, who makes up one-third of Trio Verado, “Those who come to the Asheville concert will be the first people to ever hear it performed, and that’s always an exciting and unique experience.”

The ensemble presents a unique collaboration of the most distinguished artists performing together on the flute, viola, and guitar to promote Latin chamber music.  Flutist Amy Porter; violinist Jaime Amador and guitarist Joao Luiz are widely sought after for their musical performances on the concert stage and on recordings. You won’t want to miss this performance, get your tickets now!

Another highlight this month is our third Rising Star Concert presented in collaboration with the Asheville Art Museum featuring the Arsevi Duo on Tuesday, April 25th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Museum’s Windgate Foundation Atrium, 2 South Pack Square.  The performance will feature Asheville resident Aaron Chen, cello and Sean Yang, piano both students at Vanderbilt U

niversity.  “The Rising Star Concert Series” provides a performance opportunity for gifted young North Carolina musicians and a chance to catch rising stars early in their careers for audience members.

We look forward to seeing you at these concerts.   Don’t miss out.  Order your tickets now.

Best,

Marilynne Herbert, Board President, Asheville Chamber Music Series

WHAT’s UP Next…

When you attend a big concert hall it’s as if the composer is talking to a big crowd of people and making a speech... When you listen to his chamber music you are invited into his home... into his mind and into his heart.
